Baka a.k.a Paboya updates:
Ok i am back again! well this few days i have been watching so many movies! i spent so much money just renting movies from blockbuster alone.. hehe well i can't believe i rented ALADDIN to watch -_- i am so deprived.. well it was nice though... and i borrowed several films from my friends to watch... 90% i have watched b4 but just to refresh my memory i watched them again...
niwaez, i also watched TROY and oh my goodness you guys, those who haven't watched, please go watch! brad pitt is utterly hot inside please. his muscles and his features look extraordinary inside the film... must be the effects... and the make up.. hehe eric bana looked slightly less handsome than brad pitt.. hehe i am biased man! orlando bloom? forget about him... that wimp! in the show of course.. i just don't know why i prefer him in lord of the rings....
ok watched mission impossible III in a run down cinema in city centre and it cost me £3... like roughly SGD9 and that is considered CHEAP ok.. like real cheap. but OMGAWD when the movie started everything was blurry!! they didn't focus the screen porperly and the seats were so uncomfortable. the floor was sticky and when i lifted my legs to shift them abit it was like *splat* the squishy sound my wadever was there on the floor sticking to my boots... URGH...
So MI3 was not that bad... but me and my friends sorta laughed when tom cruise died and then was revived when his wife banged him so hard on the chest.... we actually laughed... how evil. oh yea, not to mention did u guys realise his reel wife sorta looks like katie holmes.. and all my friends agree lo... so hmmm
then yesterday i watched the DaVinCi Code.... seriously, i think the book would be better. The film was not as good as i thought it would be... instead i thought of it as boring! i wish i read the book instead.. but i'll read it soon... argh... wasted £5... tt's so bloody ex... and the bus fare was another £2.40 oh man... so stressed... i am spending so much here i wish i had the capabilities to earn back 3 times the amount i spent to return my mom!
well i'm so tired and i'm gona go back soon to my dorm and sleep and eat and watch more films. btw, clubbox is cool and it keeps me entertained. heh
P.s: KIM JUNG HOON is so hot!!! ^¬^ (drools)

Just yesterday i watched Braveheart. I was quite sure i watched it before but i can't remember the story. If i didn't go to Edinburgh (mind you, it's pronounced as 'Edinbura') i wouldn't at all be interested in William Wallace. Oh sorry, it's Sir William Wallace. He was the hero of Scotland. The true leader. I was wondering why there were so many places selling his items or people dressing up as him, offering to take pictures with tourists - but now i know why. After i watched Braveheart, i cried so much it turned into sobbing. Ok it wasn't wicked sobbing but like mild sobbing coz' i'm such a sucker for heroic films. Not to mention the music, by James Horner was soooooo inspiring.

Right, do you realise that most of the war films have the English portrayed as the evil side? (eg, braveheart, the patriot) haha i don't know whether history really portrayed the English as ruthless people wanting to conquer foreign lands, but the movies sure did. Anyway, i believe Braveheart is indeed one of the nest films i've ever watched so if you have the time, go rent one to watch, or maybe buy the vcd or something (it's worth it!!)

The movie begins in the small town of Elderslie, Scotland. William lives with his father, who is not named in the film, and his older brother Malcolm. William's father and older brother are called to a meeting a few miles from their home where they find the entire nobility of Scotland hanging. Malcolm and his father then go to a battle between the English and their clan, both die tragically. At the funeral William meets his uncle Argyle who fought in the battle with Malcolm and his father. He takes him away to live with him. The scene then cuts to an adult William on his horse. William later runs into a girl he knew before he went to live with Argyle, her name, Murron, we discover that Lords have the right to sleep with brides on their wedding night, so William marries Murron in secret. Murron is the assaulted by a English guard, the guard is killed by William, a fight ensues, and eventually Murron is killed by the lord. This enrages Wallace who then build himself a fine army entering city's and killing all Englishman within. Wallace prepares to move on to Sterling where he prepared for his greatest battle yet, in the forest he realises that he must find a way to beat the heavy cavalry from the ground, he decided to create spears twice as long as men. These were used in the battle to kill the entire heavy cavalry raised at the last minute to kill the on coming horses. Eventually Wallace reaches York, the most important military city he gains control. Williams final battle at Falkirk ends in his betrayal by two nobles, whom he later kills. William is betrayed by the leper father of Robert the Bruce, is captured and refuses to bow down as a loyal subject of the king Edward I, Longshanks. Therefore, instead of mere beheading William Wallace is subject to being Hung, hung within an inch of death. Drawn, being stretched by his ankles and wrists and then having his insides shown to him before he died. Then Quartered, he was beheaded and his head was put on the London Bridge his body was torn into for pieces one sent to each corner of Britain as a warning to the citizens. After Wallace's death we see Robert the Bruce led the battle of Bannockburn the last battle for Scotland's freedom. [Editors note] Original writing by poster stated that Wallace went against "The British". This is factually incorrect as the term "British" refers to the people of the Island Britain. Scotland is the northern half of Britain with England and Wales sharing the lower half. I have changed this accordingly to reflect that Wallace and Scotland were at war with England or more factually correct, the english crown.

This is based on a real story.
It's been a while since i blogged. Either i don't have the time or i simply didn't want to blog. Well, now i've the time, let me depict this story to you. It's real, and i feel so sorry for the main character. Rest assured, she's much better now.
During my 11 weeks stay at Mary Gee Houses in Leicester, I've met and made many friends. Amongst my friends i have french girls, swedish, german, hungarian etc. This story is about my french friend, whose name i had better not reveal. You see, she was this nice, sociable and engaging 23 year old undergrad studying English here in the UK. What's sad is that she's in love with this guy, my other french friend's friend back in France. She's always had this thing for asian guys, and this french-cambodian guy she liked happen to like her as well - well her body only, unfortunately. My friend, being all devoted and in love with him, decided that if she couldn't get his heart, she would get his body instead. Hence, she had sex with him even though he made it clear he didn't love her.
Having sex with the person you love is very important. Well at least that's the case for most girls yea? When she confided in me, i felt so angry, not only at him, but at her for allowing her body to be used by him. No matter how much you love a man, there's a limit to that and what you should do to get him. And how shameless of the guy, to have the guts to tell my friend straight in the face that he prefered asian girls and and his ideal date would be to drive an asian girl out and have fun. I cannot imagine how hurt my french friend felt when she heard it.
I tried to convince her, i rally did, to stop having sex with him but she was so hopelessly in love with him. In the end i lost, and she was hurting her self emotionally whenever they had sex because he refused to kiss her. She had to beg him to kiss her but he wouldn't care. How can such a man exist? Such beast! Such atrocity! If i ever see him again i would throw him out of our dorm! (he's rather small, or at least smaller than me so it'll be a piece of cake to kick his ass outta our place ^_^)
Thank goodness my friend came to her senses one day. She decided to stop it all when she couldn't bear the pain anymore and wrote him a letter telling him all her feelings. You know what he replied? He said:
I was like WHAT THE F**K! at least be sorry for what you have done to her you piece of SH*T! He didn't feel guilty at all. Nope, not even say sorry. My friend suffered for the next 4 days crying in her room the entire time.
The week after. They went out again. All of them, together with the other 2 french girls, to a club where they danced and drank. Instead of being sensitive, he danced with this asian girl and made out with her in front of my friend. Still, he had the nerves to tell my other french friend that he actually prefered her other asian friend. At the end, because he couldn't get to the other asian girl, he settled for the one he had originally danced with. So when they were heading home, he asked her how was she gettin back. At this point of time, there was really no way but to get back via a cab right? The stupid asian girl (sorry i'm not trying to be racist but i'm asian as well. I'm just angry for my friend) said: "I don't know how to go home" so they ended up all taking a cab home, whispering sweet nothings and giggling and making out - all these in front of my friend sitting quietly behind them all the while.
It was not until this incident that happened when my friend realised how disgusted and revolted she was with him. She realised she was no longer in love with him and is put off by his actions. I think she deserves a better man. Well at least she ain't nobody's play toy anymore, that's what i'm concerned about. I hope everything from now on goes smoothly for her. Good luck my dear friend! ^_^
As for me, i have finally met the prince charming of my dorm. GOSH. tall, brown-haired, built, wears specs, looks intelligent, charming and there's just something that's so captivating about him! Sadly, he has a girlfriend. How do i know? he was with her when we went grocery shopping. Still i couldn't help staring at him and his back all the time! ARGH!!! another one taken AGAIN!! NANDE!!!???
Well hopefully this weekend's getaway to Edinburgh and bring me something else other than hopelessly stoning and wishing for another prince charming to pop by.
